I never knew that's how a billabong was made! I guess that's what we call an oxbow lake, then. (Billabong is such a great word!) interesting thoughts this morning, Prodigal - thanks.

How do we get stuck?

Paul, this caused me to think in your latest post "Billabong." The most obvious is that the church stops moving, they stop searching. They settle in around their "revelation" that caused them to be pioneers and be revolutionaries. There's a sense that they now have monopoly. The heart of this is pride. We're no longer what we were, but because of pride they never keep moving and become who they should be...the outcome...another "billabong."

Just read a few pages of that book. Should I move it up in my list?
