Actually Listening to William Stringfellow as I Type This

William_stringfellow_4

I'm having a really funny moment as I type this - I discovered 1973 recordings of one of my Jesus-following heroes, Episcopalian William Stringfellow. Nearly 20-years dead. So it's really really exciting to hear his voice, and even more 'spooky' is that the first lecture I downloaded he is talking about one of his upcoming New Zealand visits. He is delivering the 1973 Menno Simons Lectures.

The recording is poor. I’ve got my PC speakers at full volume. A lot of background “hissing”. With a 56K modem one lecture takes over 3 hours to download. All worth it from my perspective.

You can find the recordings here. Scroll down to 1973.
