Back in 2008 on TVNZ’s TV1 channel there was a Sunday morning weekly television series titled My God: Conversations About Spirituality. Each episode featured an interview with a person of religious convictions: a Muslim, a Sikh, a Roman Catholic, a Jew, and a Buddhist etc. Hugh Tennent, an architect featured and I must say I was fascinated by the interview: a weaving together of religion, spirituality, and architecture. Since that episode I’ve had an opportunity to see a number of examples of his architectural work.
Saturday’s newspaper supplement featured a story on Tennent. It’s attached below as a PDF.
For more on architecture and spirituality, you might find this online article interesting. It has featured at least a couple of times on this blog.
