Dave Tomlinson’s Sermons at St. Andrew’s, Cambridge, New Zealand.

Paul writes – Yesterday morning (Sunday 6^th Sept.) the Rev. Dave Tomlinson was a guest of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Cambridge, NZ. He preached at the 8am and 9:30am services - two different sermons. Both talks were excellent and drew on a sermon series he’s been preaching in his home church of St. Luke’s in Holloway, North London. The series was broadly titled: “Churches Must Change or Die” and under these hung a number of individual sermons. Dave drew on two of these: “A Three-Fold Task” and “Nourishing Community in a Fragmented World”.

 

Andrew Hedge, the vicar of St. Andrew’s, was able to record the talks on his “Mac” and has now made them available on his / St. Andrew’s website – two topical sermons, each approx. 15-20 mins in length. At this stage, given this was a “first” (recording and posting the talks) they can only be listened to. However, if any of you “techies” out there can leave instructions (by way of comment on this post) or point to a website with instructions he’ll see if he can convert them into downloadable podcasts. Thanks for making them available Andrew.

 

The sound quality  of the 8am sermon improves, as Dave hadn’t turned on his microphone for the first minute or so of his introduction. The first voice is Andrew’s (He welcomes Dave in Maori and English). The “Mark” referred to is “Mark Pierson” who was sitting in the pews.
