I love the synchronicity and inter-connectedness of Blogging! Not only this new reflection on centered sets etc. but also that right at this moment I am reading (again) "The Sparrow". Thanks too for introducing me to Roger Housden.

Serendipitous (providential?) I was reading in John Franke last week and found his reflections on set theory and the relationship to reformist and traditionalist approaches very helpful..

As for this component of growth in insight, which also means change in some form, I am reminded of Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader. When Aslan meets Lucy in the forest there is this beautiful exchange..

“‘Welcome, child,” he said.
“Aslan,” said Lucy, “you’re bigger.”
“That is because you are older, little one,” he answered.
“Not because you are?”
“I am not. But every year you grow, you will find me bigger.”
